Relationships
You’re struggling in a relationship or repeating familiar dynamics you don’t know how to change.

A guided path back to yourself
Why do the same struggles keep returning?
Maybe you’re carrying unresolved hurts, struggling to change familiar habits, or feeling held back by thoughts, emotions, and experiences you don’t fully understand.
What you see on the surface may be only part of the story.
WayMakers helps you compassionately explore what may be happening underneath—so you can recognize the unseen patterns influencing how you feel, react, and relate.
Explore what’s underneath
Does any of this feel familiar?
You’re struggling in a relationship or repeating familiar dynamics you don’t know how to change.
You feel overwhelmed by parenting, caring for others, or trying to hold everything together.
Past experiences continue to influence how you feel, react, or relate to others today.
You replay conversations, expect the worst, or second-guess decisions you’ve already made.
You struggle to say no, feel guilty putting yourself first, or become anxious when someone is upset with you.
You keep returning to familiar reactions, habits, or emotional patterns—even when you know what you want to do differently.
Sometimes we focus on what is happening around us without recognizing what may also be happening within us.
When we understand what’s underneath the struggle, our experiences—and our choices—can begin to look different.

The WayMakers approach
You may have already been told what to do:
Set boundaries. Stop overthinking. Speak up. Let it go.
But knowing what to do doesn’t always change what happens inside you.
WayMakers takes a different approach.
Instead of asking, “What’s wrong with me?” we become curious: “What’s happening within me—and what might I need to understand?”
Your reactions and emotional patterns may be connected to past experiences, learned beliefs, unmet needs, or ways you learned to protect yourself.
Through trauma-informed, Compassionate Inquiry®–informed coaching, we gently explore what may be happening underneath—so unseen patterns can become visible and new choices can begin to emerge.
See the WayMakers PathInsight is the beginning
The WayMakers Path helps you recognize the patterns shaping your experience, explore what may be underneath them, and practice a more intentional way of responding.
See the pattern. Change the path. Become more fully you.
What is happening today may be connected to something learned much earlier.
An early experience can shape an unconscious belief about yourself, other people, or what you must do to feel safe and connected. When that belief carries an emotional charge, it can influence how you respond—often without you realizing it.
When the pattern remains unseen, it can continue repeating—even when you understand intellectually what you would like to do differently.
The purpose is not to blame your past or analyze every experience. It is to compassionately recognize what may be happening within you so you can begin responding differently.
The WayMakers Path
Notice the thoughts, feelings, reactions, and patterns shaping your experience.
Gently explore the emotions, beliefs, experiences, needs, and protective responses beneath the pattern.
Pause, check in with yourself, and practice a more intentional response.
Catch it. Check it. Choose.Recognize patterns sooner and make choices that feel more aligned with who you want to be.
As you follow the WayMakers Path, you learn to recognize the patterns shaping your life, understand what may be happening underneath, and make more conscious choices about the path you want to create.
Becoming a WayMaker doesn’t mean having everything figured out or responding perfectly. It means meeting yourself with greater awareness and compassion—and recognizing that each conscious choice can become a step toward a different way forward.

Book a complimentary discovery callWhat progress can look like
Progress may look like:
Recognizing a pattern sooner—before automatically reacting.
Saying no and tolerating the discomfort that follows.
Communicating what you feel instead of shutting down or reacting.
Recovering more quickly after becoming emotionally activated.
Making decisions with less second-guessing.
Not automatically believing every fearful thought.
Trusting yourself enough to follow through on what matters to you.
Progress isn’t never getting triggered. It’s having more awareness and choice when you are.

Meet Heather
I’m a certified life coach and the founder of WayMakers.
My path here grew out of my own search for answers. Childhood adversity, miscarriage, divorce, parenting challenges, anxiety, and frightening physical symptoms left me feeling overwhelmed and convinced that something within me needed to be fixed.
For years, I searched outside myself for relief and tried to think my way out of what I was feeling. My turning point came when I began approaching my experiences with curiosity instead of judgment.
What I thought needed to be fixed was asking to be understood.
I discovered that my anxious and avoidant patterns were not personal flaws. They were connected to earlier experiences and ways I had learned to cope, seek safety, and maintain connection. By becoming more present and learning to feel what I had spent years trying to escape, I began relating to myself with greater compassion and making more conscious choices.
My father’s sudden death also deepened my commitment to this work. Although I can never fully know how the unresolved pain he carried affected his well-being, his story strengthened my desire to interrupt the generational patterns that can continue when pain remains unseen and unaddressed.
That journey inspired WayMakers—a compassionate space where you can explore what’s underneath your struggles, understand the patterns shaping your life, and create a different path forward.
See the pattern. Change the path. Become more fully you.
What to expect
Life is a journey, not a destination.
You can expect a compassionate, curious, and collaborative environment where we slow things down enough to notice what might normally happen automatically.
Everyday life becomes the practice ground. The moment you catch a pattern creates an opportunity to check what is happening within you and choose how you want to respond.
We identify meaningful goals and periodically reflect on what is changing—so progress remains personal, practical, and visible.
Questions are welcome
WayMakers is a coaching practice that helps you better understand the patterns, beliefs, emotions, and learned responses influencing your present life—and practice more intentional ways of responding.
No. WayMakers provides coaching and educational support. Coaching does not diagnose or treat mental-health conditions and is not a substitute for psychotherapy, psychiatric care, medical care, or emergency support. If you need clinical treatment, Heather may encourage you to work with an appropriately licensed professional.
No. You do not need to identify with the word trauma or have a specific diagnosis. You may simply feel stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, or curious about patterns that continue affecting your life.
Insight is valuable, but understanding a pattern intellectually does not always change what happens when it is activated. Coaching helps you recognize the pattern in real time and practice a more intentional response.
Progress is personal. It may look like recognizing a pattern sooner, recovering more quickly after becoming activated, communicating instead of shutting down, setting a boundary despite discomfort, or making a decision with greater self-trust.
This complimentary 20–30 minute conversation is a chance to talk about what is bringing you here, what you would like to be different, and whether WayMakers feels like a good fit.
Individual WayMakers coaching sessions are 60 minutes and are available in person or by Zoom for $100 per session.
